Chris Halbard

Non-Executive Chairman

Chris is a senior advisor to Accenture’s global technology, media and telecommunications group. Previously, he held Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles at BT Global Services. Prior to this, Chris was Chief Financial Officer EMEA at Lucent Technologies.

David Booker


David has over 25 years’ experience in IT and telecoms. Before joining Veropath, David was CEO of Oxygen8 UK, a telecoms billing and mobile services provider. He joined Oxygen8 from Amobee Media Systems, where as Vice President, he led the Global Telecoms Operator business providing mobile multimedia, direct marketing and advertising services to global operators Vodafone and Telefonica.

Previously, David was President of Mobixell Networks EMEA where he set up and managed the EMEA subsidiary and steered Mobixell through to 80% market leadership in the media/content adaptation marketplace. Between 1997 and 2003, he served as the Vice President & Managing Director of Comverse Northern Europe where he grew the organisation from a start-up to revenues of $80m with 100+ staff. During this period, Comverse grew to be the largest worldwide provider of value-added services with revenues of $1bn.

Stuart Mitchell


Stuart Mitchell was appointed as Finance Director in February 2011. Before joining Veropath, Stuart specialised in Transaction services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. During this time Stuart advised corporates and private equity on acquisitions and disposals.

Projects included, due diligence for Heineken on their £7.8bn acquisition of Scottish & Newcastle plc, due diligence on the £130m acquisition of Rift Oil plc by Talisman Energy and the disposal of Pearl & Dean by STV plc. In addition to his role at Veropath, Stuart works with Quest Corporate Ltd, an Edinburgh based boutique Corporate Finance House. In this role, Stuart advises a number of early stage technology companies, supporting them through periods of growth and transformation. Stuart is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Nicola Whiting


As co-founder of Veropath in 2002, Nicola manages our product and service, as well as development and technologies. She has over 21 years’ IT and communications experience, combined with a strong technical and engineering background. This expertise was vital in developing Veropath – our market-leading analysis platform – for fixed line and mobile communications.

Iain Harris


Iain Harris has been working at Veropath since 2003 and has been responsible for running large corporate client projects while assisting with the design of the Veropath application. In 2012 he was appointed CTO and now runs the development team based in Edinburgh which design and maintain the Veropath application used by our clients.

Iain has worked in IT for over 20 years; a qualified Prince2 Practitioner, he has extensive experience is running technical projects. His knowledge within the telecoms market and understanding of the business requirements has allowed the Veropath application to continue to evolve into the SaaS solution we offer to date.

John Kavanaugh

Non-Executive Director

John was previously a director of Sabre Insurance Company and of BDML Holdings. He was also Chairman of the Guernsey-based Heritage Group and Chairman of Heritage Underwriting Agency – having worked in the Lloyds market since 1961. Prior to this, John was deputy Chairman of AON UK Holdings, and also held roles with Bain Hogg and Houston Casualty Company London as Chief Executive Officer.

David Cheyne

Non-Executive Director

David is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ finance, commercial, general management and turnaround operating experience. This is underpinned by 10 years’ accounting, auditing and corporate finance experience with Ernst & Young.

David spent five years as Group Finance Director of the supermarket and convenience store group Somerfield, originally when it was a plc and then under private equity ownership prior to its sale to the Co-op in February 2009. He played a key role in the initial public-to-private transaction and thereafter as part of the new executive team which rationalised and transformed the business, delivering significant value growth for the private equity shareholders on exit.

David currently holds a number of non-executive Directorships across a variety of business sectors.

Jean-Marc Fraysse

Non-Executive Director

Jean-Marc was a Senior Fund Manager of the European Long/Short Equity strategies at RAB Capital plc until January 2012 when he setup Pergam UK (long only fund manager) as a Managing Partner. He retired in November 2014.
He was previously the CEO and CIO of London-based Park Place Capital (PPC). He joined RAB Capital in December 2010 when PPC joined forces with RAB.

Prior to this he was a partner at Cazenove which he joined in June 1988. When the company incorporated he became a Managing Director of Cazenove Fund Management. Before this, Jean-Marc was a Portfolio Manager for Brown Brothers Harriman in New York. He also worked for Kidder Peabody in New York and London where he helped establish their international fund management arm. He is an investor in a number of private companies including Veropath.

Mike Bell

Non-Executive Director

Mike is a very experienced IT professional working with SAP in their top 100 global accounts. Previously Mike has been a CIO for number of major companies such as Kingfisher and United Distillers as well as being a Consulting Partner in Coopers & Lybrand.
